Celect Platinum® Vena Cava Filter Set

The Celect Platinum Vena Cava Filter is indicated for prevention of symptomatic pulmonary embolism (PE) by capturing blood clots travelling in the infrarenal IVC in the following clinical situations:

• Patients with evidence of PE or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in the IVC or lower extremity veins and either an absolute or relative contraindication to anticoagulation, a failure of anticoagulation, or high risk from complication from anticoagulation.
• Patients in the perioperative setting with a history of PE or DVT for whom anticoagulation must be interrupted.
• Patients at high risk of DVT or PE but considered unable to receive anticoagulation due to a high risk of complication.

The Celect Platinum Vena Cava Filter may be retrieved if clinically indicated.
