‘I am delighted that Cook Medical has come on board to sponsor this event over the coming years. Support and sponsorship from the local community is key in helping us run this event. Cook Medical celebrates 20 years in Limerick this year and we’re delighted that they will become synonymous with one of the fastest growing women’s sporting events in the Mid-West. By coming on board with the Mini Marathon, the company is showing a continued commitment to the city of Limerick and helping us to promote health, fitness and wellbeing within our community. We look forward to working with Bill Doherty and his team in promoting this year’s event and growing it further over the coming years’.

Announcing the partnership, Cook Medical’s Executive Vice President for EMEA, Bill Doherty said: ‘We are delighted to be associated with such a fantastic sporting event in Limerick. This is great opportunity to promote the importance of fitness and well being within our community. I think it is a wonderful way to mark Cook Medical’s 20 years in Limerick. We wish John and the team all the very best with this year’s event and look forward to supporting where we can’.
