Endoscopy

EUS FNB with celiac plexus neurolysis by Dr Anand Sahai

This clinical case video features a patient with advanced pancreatic cancer requiring celiac plexus neurolysis for pain management. The patient had received a duodenal and a biliary stent previously. In addition, a definitive diagnosis had not yet been obtained so an EUS FNB from the pancreatic head mass was carried out in the same procedure using an EchoTip ProCore® 20 gauge needle. The flexible design of this needle allows physicians to obtain histological samples from difficult anatomical locations¹.

Presenting the case is Dr Anand Sahai, Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of Gastroenteology at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Universite de Montreal (CHUM) in Quebec, Canada.
